Nadia Comaneci
Retired Nadia Comăneci, a gymnast from Romania, was the first person in Olympic history to receive a perfect score. She won five Olympic gold medals, four world titles, and is often regarded as the person most responsible for bringing gymnastics to a wider international audience. Since she married fellow Olympic gold medalist gymnast Bart Conner in 1989, Nadia has made the United States her home. They run a production firm, a gymnastics academy, and various sports stores.
Aly Raisman
Despite beginning gymnastics instruction at the tender age of two, Aly Raisman is often cited as a direct descendant of the Magnificent Seven. Aly Raisman was the captain of the U.S. gymnastics team at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. Her mother had also been a gymnast in high school. At the time, she was the most decorated athlete in history after winning two gold medals and a bronze in London. Aly Raisman danced with Mark Ballas and came in fourth place on Season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars.” She also participated in a music video with Maroon 5.
