Rolf also had his tongue split and implants implanted in his fingers, limbs, and chest, in addition to the infamous horns on his head. Gary “Stretch” Turner was born with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare genetic illness that causes blood vessels, joints, and skin to deteriorate. In Gary’s situation, it’s the latter. “If [you] examined under a microscope at your own skin cells, they’d be nice and round and lock in many places,” Gary explained. “My skin cells, on the other hand, are more jagged and do not fit as well together. The simplest way to describe it is that I’m structured like a sloppy weaved basket that will unravel.”
