For the uninitiated, conjoined twins are individuals that are physically connected at birth. These twins typically share organs and can be surgically separated in some situations. Abigail and Brittany Hensel, conjoined twins, were born in 1990 with distinct hearts, lungs, stomachs, and spinal cords. Eventhough Abigail and Brittany can eat and write independently, certain activities, such as jogging or brushing their hair, require collaboration.
