Nicknames for the Playa
Playa names allow Burners to play around with their identities in a unique and creative way. Taking on a new identity for the duration of your Burning Man experience is a fun and exciting way to gain some privacy while also diving headfirst into the culture of the event. An Alpharetta, Georgia, resident who enjoys cooking and going to the Playa says she goes by the name Sauté. While many Burners have their Playa names assigned to them by the community, some choose their own so they may better express who they are and their connection to the Burning Man experience. Outside of the desert party, few Burners are known by their Playa names.
A Passenger’s Ticket
Check-in is required for all vehicles entering Burning Man. Not having a ticket will result in being turned away. The only time the Radical Inclusion concept is likely to be broken is now. The ticket itself is of paramount importance. Security only checks tickets for individuals entering in vehicles or on bicycles. Upon paying the admission price, you may take in as many drugs or other stuff as you like.
