Evening Shade was originally an idea of Linda Bloodworth-Thomason for Reynolds. It was with Burt Reynolds’ “incomparable help” that the highly acclaimed series Evening Shade was developed, she stated in a statement. “During our first season, Burt won the Emmy for best acting. To describe him in a nutshell: he was charming, bold, infuriating, hot-tempered, generous, and wickedly talented. Absolutely, that was a roller coaster of a ride.
