The ideal lodgings
Now we come to Jonathan’s favourite part of the house: the spare bedroom he may use as a guest quarters anytime he pleases. An earlier iteration of the space served as a dining area adjacent to the present-day guest kitchen. There is now a king-size four-poster bed and other luxurious touches. They even installed a bench seat at the foot of the bed so that Jonathan has another place to sit and take in the surroundings. Light from the huge windows elevates everything to a new level.
Conceptualizing new boundaries
In the past, this area served as a walk-in closet leading to one of the guest bedrooms. While it may have served a purpose in the past, both Drew and Jonathan felt it was unnecessary and wanted to make way for a new addition to the floor. It was recently renovated into a Jack-and-Jill bathroom so that guests of two of the rooms at the inn could share facilities. Even though it meant sacrificing some space in one of the bedrooms, the Property Brothers are in agreement that it was well worth it.
