Thumbs Down
Some things should never be sold, and one of them is a child’s report card. Do a toy unpacking with your child if you need views, but don’t put him on the spot with their report card. It’s difficult enough to present your report card to your parents. Imagine having to broadcast their reaction — as well as your feelings — to the entire globe. Sitting on the toilet, returning home following wisdom tooth extractions, and receiving report cards are all things that should be kept private and away from cameras.
Expectations are high
We have to admit that an “A” is as good as an “A+” at some point. If your child is a member of Mensa, you may have the right to request an A+ grade more frequently than other parents. However, if your child is simply brighter than the average, an A- or an A is just as good as a perfect grade. Furthermore, expecting perfection all of the time is a certain way to produce a grownup with a billion worries.
