Coming out to your parents can be difficult, and the goal is that parents will love their children more than their traditional beliefs. Every youngster desires to be welcomed and loved unconditionally by their parents. Unfortunately, this parent’s love isn’t unconditional. This parent views their relationship with their children as transactional, and if their children dont give them what they want even if it means sacrificing their actual self — they will withhold parental help and affection. Unfortunately, these parents are not uncommon.
You’re Too Unattractive to Go Anywhere
What is a little girl to do when the person who is meant to defend her self-esteem is a traitor? Even if a girl is beautiful, teaching her that her appearances are all she is worth shatters her self-confidence. The definition of beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it is a shifting objective. She’ll never feel like she’s good enough or that she meets all of the requirements. Instead of believing her daughter is unattractive, this mother should have demonstrated to her daughter that she is beautiful both inside and out.
