Who is your favorite, really?
Even if they deny it, every parent has a favorite child. This mother, on the other hand, was willing to lie and take her favorite kid’s secret to the grave. You have to wonder what else she got away with. Perhaps her other daughter’s boyfriend wasn’t simply “teaching” her favorite daughter algebra when they discovered him in her room. When they were kids, maybe her other daughter’s kitty didn’t just “wander” into her favorite daughter’s EZ-Bake oven. Psychopaths emerge as a result of such preference!
I’m depressed because of you
Anyone would be depressed if they had a parent like this. It’s no surprise that this youngster needs medication; the psychological assault she must endure is unimaginable. If her mother is ready to go this far, she must engage in other mental gymnastics. Mental health is equally as important as physical health. Depression is a serious illness. Withholding life-saving medication out of anger is not only poor parenting but also reprehensible and selfish behaviour.
