Patience is a virtue that should be cultivated
Parents are sometimes unable to comprehend the world in which their children live. No instructor, especially in high school, will accept the explanation that a student was “texting their parents” in the middle of class. It’s against the rules and shows contempt for the instructor. That beloved smartphone is almost certainly going to be confiscated. Even most college professors despise it when their pupils use their phones in class. This irritated parent had no choice but to wait, because a response isn’t worth a misplaced smartphone or a failing grade.
Learned Lessons
This isn’t a post about parents who should be embarrassed. It is, nevertheless, the lessons that most children learn as they grow up with stern parents. When parents are strict with their rules, children must find methods to remain children. It’s all part of the maturation process. It’s also part of the process of survival if you’re unfortunate enough to have abusive parents. Regrettably, you’ll be on the lookout for footsteps for the rest of your life.
