The Amish are noted for living simple, non-extravagant lives. They simply pay attention to what is vital, and their uncomplicated ideals are mirrored in their wedding rituals. In contrast to those in modern culture who make weddings into extravagant extravaganzas, the Amish prefer to keep the ceremony low-key. Their attention is not drawn to material items, but rather to the sanctity of the occasion. Their fashion sense is consistent with their regular attire. They dress casually and don’t wear any costly rings. It is usually attended by a small group of people from their close-knit community.
Education ends in the eighth grade
Though many people appreciate college education, the Amish favor practicality over certificates. They are more interested with growing their crops and caring for their dwellings because their community is primarily concerned with living sustainably. As a result, the Amish place little value on education and believe that studying is detrimental to their way of life. They enable their children to attend school up to the eighth grade. Following that, guys are generally taught to work with their hands. In the meantime, girls are expected to look after their homes.
