Jessie Walmisley and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor
At the beginning of the 20th century, Jessie Walmisley and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor got married. She was a pianist, and he was a well-known British composer. They got married in 1899 after meeting in high school. Jessie’s parents vehemently opposed the union. Jessie’s parents greeted Samuel with a handshake on the wedding day when he entered their home. The couple had severe racial problems. Coleridge-Taylor, unfortunately, lost dead at the age of 37 as a result of tiredness and other medical issues.
