Complete Power Failure
John Travolta, an avid flyer and aviator, has seen and done incredible things throughout his career. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t had to handle a crisis now and then. This urgent situation occurred in the late hours of a November evening in 1992. One of the busiest airwaves on a cloudy night, with Travolta at the controls of his Gulfstream N728T, and a total engine failure. Travolta had to make a rapid decision, and he spotted the Washington, DC airport just as the clouds began to part. He piloted the plane to a safe emergency landing, where no one was hurt.
