When John Travolta and Kelly Preston decided to get married, things didn’t go smoothly from the start. When they saw how out of hand their wedding plans were becoming, they jetted off to Paris for an intimate ceremony. A Scientology minister presided over the ceremony, but the newlyweds’ celebrations were cut short when they learned their union was not recognised by the law. They hastily planned a second ceremony, this time a legally binding one, and held it on Florida’s Daytona Beach.
