The actor’s history with Scientology hasn’t always been smooth sailing. The Church of Scientology feared that Travolta would leave the religion in 1991. William Franks, the company’s executive director, speculated that John Travolta was concerned that the Church would reveal private information about him. The Scientology faith places a premium on privacy. Maybe there’s an NDA covering this information that hasn’t been shared. All of this complicates his history with the Church of Scientology.
