They must have figured that losing their son Jett so early to a horrible accident at the tender age of 16 was enough pain for one lifetime. The Travoltas were involved in another tragic tragedy on their flight to the airport in Maine. They walked their dogs around the airport grounds before takeoff. The dogs were reportedly left in the care of a liaison who was supposed to take them for a walk, but on the way back from the airport, they were struck and killed by a car. The airport staff felt deeply for the Travolta family, and they brought them condolence flowers and a message to express their sorrow.
