John Travolta’s love of aeroplanes extends far beyond his time behind the controls. He is enamoured with planes, plane rides, and flying in general. John Travolta was glad to provide his name and support when Buzz Aldrin founded a non-profit called ShareSpace to promote the teaching of science and mathematics. He did this by offering to recreate the iconic dance scene between his character and Uma Thurman’s in a celebrity auction. The winning bidder was an avid Uma Thurman fan who wanted to copy the actress’s signature appearance and had Travolta give her bangs. He cut her hair right then and there to satisfy her request.
