Normalcy reigned supreme in the Travolta household, if such a thing is possible when your father is one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood. Then, when Jett Travolta, only 16 years old, died of a seizure, their world came crashing down. Her younger sister, Jett, was just eight years old when her older brother passed away. Just days after Jett’s accident, the Travolta family issued a statement in which they mentioned their son. Jett “lit up the lives of everyone he encountered,” the obituary read. As any parent who has suffered the loss of a child can attest, this is the most excruciating agony imaginable.
