Ending His Long Silence, John Travolta

Companions in Fantasy

It’s great when you find something you can devote a lot of time and energy to learning about and exploring, and everyone knows that Travolta feels the same way about aeroplanes and flying. His good buddy and frequent flying partner, Marlon Brando, shares his enthusiasm for flying. Howard Hughes, a genius of his day who was tormented by mental health concerns and OCD, was one of the legendary pilots with whom Travolta aspired to co-pilot. Leonardo DiCaprio’s portrayal of Hughes in The Aviator brought the legendary pilot back to life on the big screen. He would have liked to have had Charles Lindbergh, the first person to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, as a co-pilot. Since Lindbergh and Hughes both went away many years ago, it is clear that John will never be able to realise his dreams.
