From a young age on, Travolta had a passion for aeroplanes and flight that eventually led to his earning his private pilot’s licence and eventually amassing a fleet of five planes. Travolta joined Qantas Airways as a “Ambassador-at-large” in 2001, immediately after the 9.11 terrorist attacks, in an effort to get people back on planes. Qantas is the Australian national airline, so it may seem odd that Travolta would partner with them. However, Travolta has always been impressed by Qantas’ safety record and is known for flying the longest flights across the world. Travolta bought the Boeing 707 from Qantas; it’s the most luxurious plane in his fleet.
