In July 2017, the singer Brandy chose to get embroiled in the Carey-Lopez feud. Despite the fact that she appeared to be unprovoked, she opted to publish a picture of herself and Mariah Cary cuddling on her Instagram account. While the photo itself was rather harmless, she captioned it with the simple three-word phrase “#SheKnowsMe.” Many people feel that this simple phrase was laced with sarcasm and was aimed towards Mariah’s reported rival, Jennifer Lopez.
