Lady Gaga, a singer and Oscar nominee for her part in “A Star Is Born,” celebrated her birthday in 2017 with a massive slice of cake and a makeup-free face. Later that year, while filming the critically acclaimed film with co-star Bradley Cooper, she achieved yet another no-makeup milestone. Cooper and Gaga told the LA Times that they were getting set to read scripts in her home when she went downstairs with her face covered in makeup. “Take it off,” Cooper told her, who also directed the picture. He then used a wipe to remove all of Gaga’s makeup, asking her to be “totally exposed” and “without artifice.” This sentiment echoes some of the film’s moments, making every romantic out there a little sentimental.
