Expanding on His Roles
Hollywood was beginning to take notice of Brendan Fraser as he rose through the ranks. Although his best work was yet to come, he was already having a significant impact on the roles he was playing. Fraser received a much more serious role in Twilight of the Golds in 1997, where he portrayed David Gold, a gay man who was rejected by his more traditional family. Fraser once again demonstrated in this movie that he was capable of conveying emotion and delicacy on-screen, in addition to his comedic skills.
