Rise of the Stars
Fraser appeared in the drama movie School Ties that same year, starring up-and-coming actors Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Chris O’Donnell. In many ways, it was one of his earliest breakout performances when he took on the character of a Jewish quarterback who was confronted with anti-Semitism at a new school. In the years that followed, he had appearances in movies, including The Scout, in which he played baseball pitcher Steve Nebraska, and Airheads, in which he co-starred with Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi as a young unhappy rock star. Nobody could get enough of Fraser, it seemed!
