But even though he had made the decision that acting was his passion, he was aware that he needed to receive the proper training. Brendan chose to enroll at the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, after attending Toronto’s Upper Canada College for a while. He traveled to New York City in 1990 to continue his acting studies after graduation. Hollywood stood in the way of his goal of earning a Master of Fine Arts in acting from Southern Methodist University.
