Fraser’s performance in George of the Jungle broke many long-held social taboos about what a man should be. He demonstrated how a man could be strong yet childlike, solemn yet tender, grand yet silly, and combative yet approachable. Perhaps because of this, George of the Jungle stands out as one of his best movies and is what many of his fans associate with him. However, he was about to land another job that would propel his notoriety over the ceiling.
