A Wave Almost Swept Gerard Butler Under
Ocean shots are risky to film since the ocean is a powerful, uncontrollable force. In the filming of Chasing Mavericks, Gerard Butler was swept away by a wave that witnesses say was at least 30 feet high. Butler was nearly drowned when he was tossed around by the wave. While he was being flung around in the ocean, the only thing he could think of was the film team above the water watching this unfold.
