The Marvel Cinematic Universe Almost Lost Jaimie Alexander
Actress Jaimie Alexander, who played Lady Sif in the film Thor: Dark World, suffered a serious injury when, as the rain poured down, she slid on the set’s metal stairway. She dislocated her left shoulder and tore her right rhomboid, in addition to experiencing a herniated disc. Though Alexander received prompt medical attention, her condition deteriorated the next day when she reported paralysis in her right leg and hand. It took a month of therapy after she spent a week in the hospital to get her back on set to finish filming.
