Stallone, for instance, had to have metal parts implanted in his back after landing on his back and suffering a “backblast” during an action sequence. Stallone, however, is a seasoned action star who is no stranger to physical harm. He dislocated both shoulders and fractured his neck and spine while filming Rambo and The Expendables, he stated in a recent interview. For Stallone, it was business as usual.
