The stunt that Cruise attempted for Mission: Impossible — Fallout but botched was a major setback for the production. Cruise broke his ankle when he fell over a roof and landed on the side of the building. According to Cruise’s statement, he realised right away that it was broken, but he wanted to perform the stunt again so he stood up and continued.
