Mechanotherapy is a way to heal

Dr. Gustav Zander, a Swedish doctor and orthopedist, dreamed of a world where injuries and diseases could be treated and healed without drugs.
Around the middle of the 1800s, Dr. Zander made a number of machines that were meant to fix different illnesses and physical problems. At the 1876 Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia, these machines, which were the first of what we now call gym equipment, won a gold medal.

The Autoscooter Inter

The smallest kind of car, the microcar, first showed up on the streets of Europe after World War II. Most microcars had three or four wheels and engines that were smaller than 700 cc. Microcars became very popular quickly in Europe because they were cheap and used less gas than regular cars. At the Paris Motor Show in 1953, the Inter Autoscooter, a small car, was shown to the public for the first time. The Inter was made by SNCAN, a French company based in Lyon that is owned by the government.
