Among Matthew McConaughey’s many amazing performances, his work in Dallas Buyers Club stands out. He was so committed to playing AIDS patient Ron Woodroof that he shed 40 pounds for the role. Although his health and stamina were questioned, he said he was fine to film for the full 25 days. McConaughey remarked that despite his low levels of physical stamina, his mind remained as keen as ever. He consulted a dietician and set a four-month deadline for himself. He performed it in a way that wouldn’t harm his health and was careful to make his body look as natural as possible.
