In the Depths of the Sea, Chris Hemsworth
Chris Hemsworth had to shed a lot of weight to play the lead role in The Heart of the Sea, a biopic in which he was required to play a much smaller version of himself. The extra 15 pounds were difficult to remove because Hemsworth had already slimmed down for another part. He took on the role of a sailor whose ship is sunk by a whale, forcing him and his crew to take refuge in the lifeboats. In order to play the role of starving guys, they had to keep losing weight throughout production. He added he and his castmates primarily chatted about who looked the skinniest and who was able to drop the most weight.
