The Hardy Boys and Bronson
In Bronson, Tom Hardy largely transforms into a different actor. He only had five weeks to convert himself into Britain’s most dangerous criminal, and he put on seven pounds a week without steroids. He did his best to bulk up, and since they weren’t going for a trim appearance, his diet wasn’t overly restrictive. Considering how much time and effort Hardy put into his upper body, the legs he neglected to sculpt look downright comical in comparison. When the real Charles Bronson first saw Hardy, he was unhappy because he knew it wouldn’t work. But two weeks later, Hardy returned and more than held his own in terms of physical and professional performance.
