“The Kids Hated Them”
The skoolie was completed six months and $20,000 later. Mike and Tawny knew they needed to adjust the arrangement of the motorhome after just one trip. The bunk beds were the most problematic, as they were rather substantial in the little space. “The kids despised them,” Tawny added. The two youngsters were irritated by the fact that they couldn’t sit up in their mattresses and had to be crammed on the sofa bench on long rides. So, just as the family felt they’d finished skoolie, they went back to work. The second time around, the results were much better.
